Ajaccio

Ajaccio is the capital of the French Mediterranean island of Corsica.

Getting There

Air France is the airline flying to Corsica. A ferry can be also taken to the city from Nice, Toulon, or Marseille.

Getting Around

There are direct ferry routes from Ajaccio to Marseille, Nice, Toulon, and Ciutadella. Summer seasons are generally busy, and thus it is advisable to book in advance.

Sights

Napoleon Bonaparte, a great man in European and world history, is from Ajaccio.

Activities

One attraction is the house in which Napolean was born, which is now open as a museum.
