Angoori

Angoori is beautiful isolated village in the foothills of Himalayas, about 18 miles north-east of Islamabad.

Getting There

It is only 30 to 40 min drive by car from the capital Islamabad towards Murree. There is a single concrete road in fairly good condition. Local transport like buses are also available but it's better to travel by your own car. You have to park your car at the entrance of the village because only a small cemented road goes into Angoori, but the village is small enough to cover on foot.

Getting Around

Easily covered by foot. You can hike on the beautiful mountains. Forests are pretty safe.

Sights

Islamabad and Rawalpindi can be seen easily, especially at night. Here you can enjoy the beauty of the nature, with the long pine trees and lush green fields.

Eating

In Angoori you can eat natural and healthy food such as plain yogurt, lassi, home made fresh butter, vegetables and Mustard green cooked in clay pot over the wood fire. A taste you would never forget.

Drinking

Drink fresh and pure cow's milk and refreshing butter milk (lassi).
