Ashdown Forest
Ashdown Forest is in East Sussex. Ashdown Forest covers 14,000 acres of lowland heathland which has never been under the plough and so provides a unique habitat for many species of flora and fauna. There are several hundred deer, mainly Roe and Fallow and including small numbers of Muntjac and Sika, living happily in the woodland areas.

Ashdown Forest Travel Tips

- Not much of a travel trip....just went there for the horse racing, had to do some pics for a project. But if you never heve seen a horse racing and would like to see it at least once...Lingfield is close enough to London and it's quite cheap to get there by train and the racing is not expensive … • Valentina F.
- Lingfield Racecourse is a great day out even for non gamblers like me. Never bet but put a £1 on each house which is enough to get the aderline going backing your chosen hourse • Mark W.
