  • The scene of the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Actually on a field to the rear of Battle Abbey. Can visit the Abbey. Combined with Hastings provides great insight into the battle of 1066. Lovely quaint village with some lovely shops and restaurants. Some good bed and breakfasts and campsites nearby.  Sharon R.
