- Lived in Blacksburg for 5 years. The people are friendly and the food is great. Highly recommend the nacho fries at the Rivermill, gyros at Souvlaki, pizza at PKs. - Blacksburg is an awesome college town in western Virginia. It's small and out of the way which isn't all bad. Virginia Tech University is located in Blacksburg and it's an amazing campus. I highly recommend touring it if your driving through this region. • Nick
