
Brampton is a market town in Cumbria, U.K. It is some 10 miles east of Carlisle.
Brampton is on the A69 between Carlisle and Newcastle. There is a regular bus service, number 685 and the main train line between Carlisle and Newcastle stops approximately 1 mile outside the town. Carlisle airport is some 5 miles to the west, but at the moment (october 2008) there are no commercial passenger flights.
