  • By car: exit 314 off I-94, and north 2 miles on state highway 38.

  • Buffalo Creek State Historic Site, 2 1/2 miles northwest of Buffalo, ND, +1-701-633-8586 (fax: +1-701-633-5227, email: bankers@ictc.com), www.discovernd.com. Marker designates area crossed by Gen. Henry H. Sibley and his military expedition on August 16, 1863. His expedition included 3,300 soldiers and 200 wagons in a column five miles long.
  • Old Stone Church Heritage Center. Tu 6PM-8PM, F 1PM-4PM, Sa 1PM-3PM. Built in 1885 as Calvary Episcopal Chapel, the Old Stone Church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It hosts a variety of local and traveling museum exhibits, a library, and a museum store.
