Casablanca

Casablanca may be the cosmopolitan, industrial and economic heart of Morocco, but it is one of the less endearing of the country's sights. With a small, unassuming medina and a traffic-congested ville nouvelle, travellers arriving via Casablanca may be tempted to find the first train out to nearby Rabat.

Casablanca Travel Tips

  • If you are a woman, you may find it difficult to cope with not being able to find a cup of coffee easily in the streets of Casablanca as the cafes are so dominated by men!  Bernadette C.
  • Just stay away from this city. Everything about it is horrible. • It doesn't really live up to all those images created by Bogart, I never found a 'Rick's cafe' substitute. However, there are a few nice places to eat and the main Mosque, with its 200m high minaret is extremely impressive.  Russell S.
