Central Slovenia is the region surrounding the Slovenian capital city of Ljubljana and the Kamniške Alps north of it. Central Slovenia encompasses the Ljubljana valley with Sava river and its tributaries Ljubljanica, Sora, Kamniška bistrica and others, and the surrounding hills.
