Charlotte: NoDa

NoDa is an arts district in Charlotte. Its name is a blend of "NOrth DAvidson", after the district's main street. Originally a mill village that operated almost independently of Charlotte, it became a haven of poverty and vice in the middle of the 20th Century.

  • Only where I grew up! It's changed a lot, so my tip would probably be to not really go there. :) Just kidding! Anyways, its a little part of Charlotte, and it used to have a bit of that small town charm, but now cracker jack box houses have overtaken the community and it's not so much fun. Oh well …  Kara D.
