Colonia

Colonia is in the Rio de la Plata region of Uruguay. It is filled with old colonial buildings and cobbled streets, and is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Colonia del Sacramento was founded in 1680 by the Portuguese, sandwiched in between the Portuguese colony of Brazil and the Spanish Vice Royalty of the River Plate.

  • Para ir a Colonia del Sacramento (Uruguay) se toma el Buquebus en Buenos Ares, es muy cómodo, 1 hora se demora en llegar al otro lado del Río de la Plata. Colonia es un puerto con ruinas españolas y portuguesas, es un patrimonio historico de la Humanidad.  Alvaro C.

  • It is an amazing old village (or little town) with stone made narrow streets, vintage cars (it is a world heritage site).
