Da Nang

Da Nang is Vietnam's third largest city, and is located on the South China Sea coast, midway between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The city itself has neither the atmosphere of Hanoi nor the hustle-bustle of Ho Chi Minh City, but has its share of sights, and is close to the charms of Hoi An and the imperial capital of Hue.

Da Nang Travel Tips
Da Nang travel tips courtesy of GeckoGo
  • If you fly here, take a $10USD taxi ride to Hoi An.  Samantha B.
  • Resorts are going up everywhere; the only real reason to visit Da Nang apart from it's close proximity to key war sites for Americans... Hoi An is fab and a close drive...  Jacqui W.
  • this city moves at a slower pace. if you like deserted beaches check out china beach... it is a long stretch of beach with golden sand with virtually no one around. apparently the americans were stationed around this area during the vietnam war.  Reiner H.
