Dahshur

Dahshur is an Egyptian archaeological locality some 10 km to the south of Saqqara and therefore 35 km south of the Egyptian capital Cairo. It is best known as a more tranquil location in which to visit several very large pyramids - at least, when compared to Giza and Saqqara.

  • oldest pyramids....beautiful!  Laure-Line A.
  • see the temple at saqqarah, and the step pyramid built by imhotep for the pharaoh djoser, its secrets are still being uncovered its a fascinating sight....  Donna H.
  • Don't pet the animals. Don't let the merchants talk you into posing with a donkey or camel, they will say its free then ask you for money afterwards. They get really mad when you say no. Don't go off to a tomb without a group. Once again they tell you its free until you try to leave. Best advice is …  Megan K.
