Eating

It can be very difficult finding a good restaurant open between the hours of about 2pm to 7pm.

Vegetarians and vegans should have no problem eating in Florence as staff at Italian restaurants tend to be very accomodating. Try ribollita, a regional specialty vegetable soup. 100 percent vegan and delicious. Pizza in Italy (and authentic Italian restaurants elsewhere) do not use dairy products or eggs in their dough.

  • The art and culture of millenarian times in one place  Anibal C.
  • firenze is superb! You really have to visit it once in your life. All the art and the little streets, just marvellous!  Jenny V.
  • The best views of the city are to be had from the Boboli gardens. Spend at least a half a day here to enjoy the views. Don't miss the rose garden. The views from the top of the Duomo are also well worth the steps.  Andy G.
