- Sanger is right near the Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, making it a great place to go whitewater rafting on the Kings River (Class III+). There are several companies offering guided tours -- I've had good luck with Whitewater Voyages. • Philip M.
- Take Central Avenue Exit off of Highway 99 (Chestnut Ave. if coming from the South, and turn right on Central). Instead of taking Jensen. Less lights and fewer speed traps. Turn Left on Academy which will take you through the bulk of this small town. • Bleeding Edge
- The Blossom Hill cafe is about 1 mile out of town on the corner of Belmont and Academy. From here, you can access Pine Flat as well as being a short distance from Highway 180 which will lead you to Kings Canyon National Park. A good stop for breakfast if you're heading to the mountains.
