Getafe is located just south of Madrid, in Spain.

Getting There
By train

You can take the Parla line from Madrid to Getafe.

By bus

You can travel from Atocha bus station to the city center of Getafe if you take the 441 or 442 bus.

By taxi

Taxis from Madrid cost 15-20 EUR, and are the only option to get to Getafe after a late night out (1.30 or 2.00 AM).

Getting Around

In Getafe there are 5 train stations and many bus stations which leave you in the city center or around, wherever you want.

Activities
  • Watch a football game - Getafe's club plays in the top division of Spanish football.
  • Visit "Cibelina", the place where Getafe football fans celebrate the success of the team.
  • You can do sports like running in Juan de la Cierva or San Isidro stadiums, or swimming in Sector III swimming pool.

If you are a student, in Getafe there is Carlos III university.

Money & Shopping

If you like shopping you should walk along Calle de Madrid.

Drinking

You can have a really fun night if you go to "Cabaret Madrid", a pub where you can drink and dance until 6 o'clock.
