Kaesong

Kaesŏng is a city in North Korea, near the DMZ and the South Korean border. Kaesong is a small city and former capital of Koryo Dynasty. It is the only major city that changed hands between North and South Korea as a result of the Korean War.

  • If you are doing a day trip into Kaesong (Gaeseong) then bring your mp3 player (the bus ride is a bit boring on the SK side) and whatever because there are plenty of secure lockers in the South Korean immigration facility.
