Katherine Travel Tips

- Just stopped there with the Greyhound bus for a break to grap a snack. The locals can be a bit strange if you are a woman on your own so don't get involved too much in any conversation... • Karolin T.
- There is a gorge in the national park nearby, for just a short 1-2k walk you can get some great views down into the river, and ever hike a little down to swim. Worth stopping for an afternoon to enjoy. I don't remember having to pay to get in anywhere, so it's a low-budget wonder :) • Julie T.
- Nitmiluk national park is great to take a kayak and explore katherine gorge, you can rent a kayak for one day or multiple days up the river. the cascades make the ride a bit difficult , but defenitly worth going. • Stefaan V.
