Lancashire

Lancashire is a county in the North of England. It takes its name from the city of Lancaster, and is known as the Red Rose county. Until Government boundary changes in 1974 Manchester and Liverpool were part of the county and these major cities still exert a strong gravitational pull over Lancashire.
