Lappeenranta

City of Lappeenranta is the economic and cultural center of southeast Finland situated near the border of Russia and at the southern edge of the Saimaa, the largest lake of Finland. Its culture and dialects are strongly part of Eastern Finland, although it administratively belongs to the Province of Southern Finland.

  • A very small village in the middle of lakes. We stayed there next to a lake with an extenal Saunahouse and a small rowboat. Just to relax and enjoy nature. That was great.  Ariane U.
