caves here are amazing. In china, only Dunhuang and Leshan compare in terms of how impressive this place is. It's just a pity they were smashed up so much during the cultural revolution... interesting sites. the best are shaolin temple, longmen grottoes and several small buddhist temples and sites. although you should be careful, henan people are notorious for ripping you off... pita like bread prepared in clay oven and with meat inside will not dissapoint you...especially during the cold winters in Henan when the icy winds batter the big plains of province...
