There are several city buses, most run north-south from the train station and bus terminal in the north down to Woryeong APT in the south. Many buses will also go out to Changwon, Jinhae, or some villages in the rural areas of Masan.
If you see a bus going to 경남대 or 월영A, they're heading south to South Masan (Nammasan or Sinmasan). If you're going somewhere else in the city, you may find it best to take a taxi.
