Northridge

Northridge is in the San Fernando Valley, which is part of Los Angeles County in Southern California.

Northridge has a Metrolink Station at 8775 Wilbur Ave. Service is Monday-Friday on the Ventura County Line.

The 1994 Northridge Earthquake (epicenter actually in Reseda) caused extensive damage to the area.

The sprawling campus of California State University Northridge (18111 Nordhoff St) with its art galleries, botanical gardens, much-filmed library (Sky High, Star Trek, etc), and one of the last remaining orange groves in the Valley.

Northridge Fashion Center 9301 Tampa Ave. A large indoor shopping mall anchored by Sears, Macy's, and JC Penney. There are also many businesses around it including Borders Books, Best Buy, Guitar Center, and Kmart.
