John McLaughlin House, 713 Center Street. John McLaughlin was the head of the British Hudson Bay Company in the Oregon Country. His house has been preserved as a museum of the fur trade and settlement of Oregon.

Willamette Falls, Hwy 99E near S 2nd St. Natural horseshoe shaped waterfall, 2nd largest by volume in the United States after Niagara Falls.

  • Be sure to catch the bus at the End of the Oregon Trail Museum. It will take you right across town to the Museum of the Oregon Territory. The bus drivers can be chatty too, pointing out a lot of local landmarks on your drive, as well. • Lara H.
  • Oregon City is the seat of Clackamas County, south east of Portland OR. It was the end of the Oregon Trail. The City center boasts a nice art deco county courthouse, while the Oregon Trail Interpretation Center is worth a visit. • Stephane C.
