Piran

Piran is a city in the Coast and Karst region of Slovenia. Piran is probably the most beautiful of Slovenia's coastal towns, perched on a tiny piece of land jutting into the sea. It feels more like an Italian coastal town, without all the Italian tourists, and for good reason: Piran was part of the Venetian empire from the late 13th century to the end of the 18th century.

  • Eat fish food at Prego, i think, the owner is from Iceland. Located near the bridge to the grand hotel. Relax at Kanela Bar and listen to rock n roll music, mainly Rolling Stones  Anders M.
  • Shop at the Salt store in the main sqaure of Piran, you can reach it via a free bus from Portoroz  Simone N.
  • A beautiful town in Slovenia. Very clean and peaceful. A nice beach with clear waters.  Susanna S.
