Pocatello

Pocatello is a college town in Southeastern Idaho. Named after a noted 19th Century Shoshoni chief, Pocatello is a working-class town with a strong railroad and trade union heritage. As such it has more of a blue-collar feel to it than the other major Idaho cities.

Pocatello Travel Tips

  • Around the city you can find many nice places with lava ground. On some places you can see underground ice caves. Crater of the moon!  Joël F.
  • I was forced to spend the night in Pocatello about ten years ago (Long story... misread a bus ticket), and found it to be a pretty cool little town with a good music scene. Go Pocatello!  Rob B.
  • Dudley's is a great bar if its still there. Its in an old Post Office  Bry H.
