Quezon

Quezon is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 41,669 people in 8,453 households. It is where the Tabon Man lived long time ago in the Philippines.

The easiest way to reach Quezon is to catch a bus or van from the San Jose terminal in Puerto Princesa. Charing Bus lines has several buses leaving approximately hourly, starting around 4 to 6 in the morning. There are also vans departing from behind the Charing terminal - just ask around, someone will point you in the right direction. Bus fare should be around 165 pesos, vans will be about the same. All buses or vans will make a meal/bathroom stop around Narra.

There are plenty of Tricycles roving around. At the port, bancas of different length are available to take you to beautiful spots within Quezon waters.

• Tabon Caves - The Tabon cave complex consists of 29 explored caves, but there are 200 caves known on Lipuun Point. They are maintained and managed by the National Museum. Diwata Cave and Liyang Cave are open to the public. The Caves were the discovery site of the Tabon Man, one of the oldest discoveries of human inhabitants found in the Philippines.
