Quintay

Quintay is a village in Central Chile. Easily done as a daytrip from Santiago or Valparaíso.

Getting There

Buses to Santiago and Valparaíso. Colectivos to Valpariso from the main square, $1400 Chilean Pesos.

Getting Around

Mostly walkable.

Sights

An old whaling station that once employed almost 1000 men is now an open air museum www.fundacionquintay.cl. Entry $500.

Activities

There are two beaches Playa Grande is complete with a resort and a golf course. Playa Chica to the south is deserted.
