Rockhampton lies on the tropic of Capricorn near the coast of Queensland, south of Mackay and north of Bundaberg. Rockhampton is one of Queensland's oldest cities, established in 1855. Rockhampton was named by Queensland's first Land Commissioner, Mr W.

  • Rockhamton is the beef capital of Queensland, so everywhere you go you will see statues of bulls. In gardens, on businesses they have started making it a feature for advertising. E.g: on top of a removalist company there's a bull with Remov-a-bull written on it...corny  Natarsha C.
