Saint-Pierre

Saint Pierre is an island and the capital of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. Although it is much smaller than Miquelon, it is much more heavily populated. The residents are primarily of Basque, Breton, Normand, and Acadian heritage.

  • Cool Place. Just off the coast of Canada but belongs to France and it is VERY FRENCH. Haven't been there for many years but when we went the runway was scarily short....if you get my drift. But fun to do.  Judith M.
  • Nightlife is the best; there is always something going on, especially in summer, around July 14th. Transportation is easy; the island is small enough that all can be done on foot.
