Sandpoint is a popular city and tourist destination in Northern Idaho on the shore of lake Pend Oreille in northwestern United States. (although Idaho is generally recognized as a Mountain State, Sandpoint and other far northern Idaho cities are most often categorized as officially being part of the Pacific Northwest.

  • Great place for winter skiing. Schweitzer Mountain Resort has some nice slopes. Beautiful view of the lake from the top. • Cavell B.

  • Stay in Schweitzer's village or in Sandpoint near downtown. The hotels in between the two should be avoided. We left one and refused to stay for both days due to the conditions and inaccurate advertisement of amenities. • Tim M.
