Savonlinna is a small city in South Savonia province, Eastern Finland, close to the Russian border. Tiny Savonlinna Airport is served by Finnair's subsidiary FinnComm which offers flights from Helsinki to Savonlinna up to three times a day, especially during the Opera Festival.

- A great place to spend the night is Lossinranta Lodge Tavis . You can see the Olavinlinna from your room and have the breakfast outside wathing a beautiful scenery. It's near the centre and it's not expensive. Just loved it! • Anu H.
