can top up at most metro stations in Shanghai. It's a lot more convenient as you don't need to buy a single ticket each time you use public transport. It also works on buses and taxis... Everything there is over-priced and European. Stop in at the House of Jazz and Blues at Maoming Lu for great live entertainment. The after-hours joint is JZ. Just follow the HOBJ crowd... in for specific flights, so they are not open for check in at all times.
