Tianjin

Tianjin is a municipality in China. Despite its size and importance as a port, Tianjin lacks the vitality of other large Chinese coastal cities, such as Shanghai or Guangzhou, and is often overshadowed by its bigger neighbor to the northwest, the nation's capital, Beijing.

Tianjin Travel Tips

  • It's better to have a tour around the city by taxi.Warm-hearted driver will help you to go to the most beautiful place in Tianjin and do not forget to taste Tianjin "Gou bu li" baozi!  YiQin Y.
  • I only passed through Tianjin, but I was quite taken by the old colonial area down by the river side and some of the markets are rather interesting too. Not really worth visiting for the sake of it, but not a bad place to spend a day or two if you're in the area.  Russell S.
  • As we were in Beijing for 8 days, we visited this coast city.  Thijs P.
