Sumida Ward lies east of central Tokyo. It is home to a famous cherry blossom viewing area in spring, the Sumida River Fireworks Festival in summer, and Tokyo's main sumo stadium where tournaments are held three times a year.

  • Tokyo Disneyland is here, actually in Shin-Urayasu (meaning "new" Urayasu.) Other than that, not much else worthwhile here unless one is commuting on the Tozai Line in which case this is an express starting point for the morning rush. • Michael M.
