Wadi Rum

Wadi Rum is a spectacularly scenic desert valley in southern Jordan. This area of Jordan is quite isolated and largely inhospitable to settled life. The only permanent inhabitants are several thousand Bedouin nomads and villagers.

Wadi Rum Travel Tips
Wadi Rum travel tips courtesy of GeckoGo
  • Wadi Rum is a fabulous place to travel through. It has huge rock formations that look prehistoric. If you are into unusual landscapes, then this place is for you. You can drive around it in a 4X4 for a great experience.  Sue W.
  • probably most beautiful desert ever been. the beer in the village is outrageouly expensive however.  Edward V.
  • If you would like to save money, just go by public bus to the entrance of the desert, there's the visiter center, and go throught, and after in the village you can buy a trip. And you should bargain, because I paid the half price, so it worths.  Eszter N.
