Wengen

Wengen is a resort town in Switzerland located beneath the Eiger and Jungfrau. It sits above Lauterbrunnen and can be accessed via train, from Lauterbrunnen or from Grindelwald. Both Wengen and Grindelwald are rather upscale resorts, both for skiing in winter and hiking and bicycling in summer.

Wengen Travel Tips
Wengen travel tips courtesy of GeckoGo
  • Leave your car at home, since Wengen is "car-free". Located near the famous "Jungfraujoch" Wengen is known for one of the most thrilling down-hill ski races; the "Lauberhorn-Rennen". A perfect village to stay and discover the beautiful montains. The railway and cablecar network is very convenient …  Ralph S.
  • Car free town... but everything is doable on foot, or by train...  Wouter V.
  • Unless you like skiing and snowboarding, the only thing I really noticed for there to do here was to sit in a bar or restaurant.  Elena O.
