Whitefield is a suburb of Manchester in the United Kingdom. It is part of The Metroplitan Borough of Bury. It is a residential area with a mostly affluent population.It lies within The Historic County Boundaries of Lancashire.

Getting There

It is situated about 6 miles to the north of Manchester centre.

It is served by two stations on the Bury line of Greater Manchester's Metrolink light rail system.

Sights

To the surprise of many in the Greater Manchester area, it boasts some of the most expensive homes in the conurbation, concentrated in the Ringley area of Whitefield. Along with its neighbouring suburb of Prestwich, directly to the south, it has a significant jewish population.
