Zaqatala

Zagatala is a city in Sheki Rayonu in northwest Azerbaijan. Zakatala is located in north-west Azerbaijan on the slopes of the Caucasus Mountains. It is at an altitude of 600 meters. It is located 450 km from the capital Baku.

  • If you happen to find yourself in Zaqatala and most likely have nothing to do there, don't miss a walk to Car (pronounced something like Jshar). It takes about 1 or 1.5 hours to get there walking and the forests and stone wall are pretty nice (foliage is awesome there) • Victor C.
